Biography
James Forest is a Professor in the School of Criminology and Justice Studies at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, and a Visiting Professor at The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, where he teaches the course "Modern Terrorism and Counterterrorism". He is also a Senior Fellow at the U.S. Joint Special Operations University, and co-editor of the peer-reviewed scholarly journal Perspectives on Terrorism. Dr. Forest previously served on the faculty of the U.S. Military Academy (3 years as Assistant Dean, 6 years as Director of Terrorism Studies) and has published many books and journal articles in the field of international security studies.
