On choosing Fletcher

I chose Fletcher because it is the only school in the US offering a joint master's degree in transatlantic affairs with a leading school for European studies in Europe, the College of Europe. Fletcher's training in transatlantic relations reflects the school’s commitment to a global perspective and its willingness to innovate, partnering with top institutions around the world. I chose the MATA program out of a need to develop a better understanding of the challenges that affect Europe and the United States, both in their mutual relations and in their outlook on the world. Studying this topic at Fletcher is unique because it allows me to benefit from the great academic resources offered by Fletcher, and to be immersed in Europe for a year, in an academic institution where the European Union is both studied in-depth and lived on a daily basis, the College of Europe. Being able to study on both sides of the Atlantic and be confronted to two distinct modes of learning and understanding of global affairs is what brought me to the program.

On preparing for the future

I was impressed with the quality of Career Services. Not only does it provide a comprehensive method for finding our place in the professional world and figuring out how to get there, but it provides coaching to allow you to personalize your strategy based on your goals and experience. As they say, career building should be treated like an extra course each semester, and this focus on the future feels empowering and reassuring.
