On the MALD program

As a prior military intelligence officer, I wanted to pursue a graduate program that would equip me with the skills necessary to be successful as a civilian in international security and foreign relations. The breadth and depth of the MALD courses offered are unmatched and provide you the flexibility to tailor your course load to meet your specific goals and interests.

On the alumni network

The famed Fletcher network truly surpasses that of other graduate programs. Several Fletcher alumni convinced me to apply by proudly recounting their experiences to me of both their time at Fletcher as well as their time after. The consistent message was that Fletcher alumni look out for each other and go out of their way to help a fellow Fletcher grad. After separating from the military, I wanted to belong to another community and Fletcher felt like a great place to belong.

On campus culture

All of my professors highly encourage lively debate in their classrooms, and the exchange of ideas between students is one of my favorite aspects of Fletcher. Everyone is safe to share ideas without fear of judgment or recrimination but also understands disagreements are acceptable and often necessary.
