Chief Diversity Officers
As Chief Diversity Officers and Associate Provosts, Robert Mack, EdD and Joyce Sackey, MD provide vision and leadership in promoting an institutional culture that values and supports diversity on campus.
Reporting to the University's Provost, Drs. Mack and Sackey champion initiatives consistent with the President's Diversity Council recommendations, work closely with the Office of Equal Opportunity as well as other members of the senior Administration, and with School and Divisional leaders with responsibility for initiatives related to diversity and inclusion.
Office of Student Affairs
Fletcher's Office of Student Affairs supports students’ co-curricular life during their time at Fletcher and serves as a resource for student wellbeing. Along with campus partners, the office aims to create an inclusive community and is happy to respond to any questions or concerns you may have.

The Student Accessibility and Academic Resource (StAAR) Center
The Student Accessibility and Academic Resource (StAAR) Center coordinates reasonable accommodations for students with disabilities, whether they are taking classes online or in person. The StAAR Center also offers a variety of resource support to all Fletcher students.

Tufts Academic and Research Programs
- The Department of Studies in Race, Colonialism, and Diaspora within the Tufts School of Arts and Sciences is home for Africana Studies, American Studies, Asian American Studies, Latino Studies, Native American and Indigenous Studies, and Colonialism Studies.
- Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies is an interdisciplinary program that focuses on research and teaching in three overlapping fields of inquiry.
- The MA in Diversity and Inclusion Leadership program prepares students to (a) cultivate an understanding of scholarly theories and emotional skills required to function as a leader in students' chosen fields, (b) implement changes to enhance equality and challenge marginalization (c) prioritize these changes based on the culture and needs of the organization, (d) design and evaluate programs to enact these changes, using appropriate design and evaluation methods, and (e) lead organizations through sustainable transformation
- The Center for STEM Diversity is an umbrella organization for programs and organizations within Tufts that are working to diversify the STEM fields
- The mission of the Center for the Study of Race and Democracy is to promote engaged research, scholarship and discussion, with a focus on the ways in which issues of race and democracy impact the lives of global citizens
- The Diversity and Intergroup Relations Lab conducts experimental research regarding social perception, judgment, behavior, and memory in diverse settings.
- The Social Identity and Stigma Lab aims to understand the impact of stereotypes on stigmatized group members under conditions of complexity.
