Exchange Programs

Great ideas come from collaboration, and complex, global problems require international thinking and cooperation. At Fletcher, students and faculty have a long history of participating in exchange programs around the world to challenge their way of thinking and learn new ways to see the world.

The Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, Geneva Switzerland

Fletcher students with a strong research background can spend a semester at The Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva and study contemporary international questions from juridical, political and economic points of view. Students receive the equivalent of one semester of course credit (30 ECTS credits) for their term in Geneva.

Institut d'Etudes Politiques (Sciences Po), Paris, France

One or two Fletcher students may study at Sciences Po annually for either the fall or the spring term, with preference given to first-year MALD candidates. An excellent command of French is required and the program has no nationality restrictions.

International Business Programs

Fletcher students studying international business can spend one semester during their second year at various other institutions as visiting students. These programs are offered with HEC School of Management in France, IE Business School in Spain, China Europe International Business School in China, the Indian School of Business, and Tuck School of Business. Students take the equivalent of four courses at the other institution and are nominated for the program as first-year students.

Getting There

While on exchange, students pay tuition to and receive financial aid from their home institution. Students are responsible for arranging credit transfer, and they enjoy the rights and privileges of degree candidates while enrolled at the partner institution.
