Fletcher isn’t just about coursework—it’s a place where you can embrace traditions and connect with incredible people. Outside of the classroom, there’s no shortage of ways to get involved in activities, whether through social, academic or athletic clubs. 

At monthly culture nights, you can celebrate the wealth of experiences that classmates bring to campus. And don’t forget to dress up for the annual Diplomats’ Ball and commemorate the conclusion of a stellar year.   

Student Conferences

For years, Fletcher students have been the driving force behind conferences that bring together preeminent scholars and practitioners to discuss pressing issues in global affairs. In addition to inspiring conversation, these conferences are a transformational career development opportunity, helping you cultivate leadership, fundraising and organizational skills. 

Imagine inviting the vice president of Nigeria to give a keynote address on campus or planning a speech to introduce your favorite gender rights activist to a captivated auditorium. As a member of the Fletcher community, you’re not just a spectator—you’re involved in shaping influential conversations.

Student Clubs

With over 30 student organizations at Fletcher, you can connect with a diverse community of peers who share your interests, and if you can’t find the club you’re looking for, we encourage you to start your own. Here’s just a sample of active clubs on campus.

Student Treks

Embark on global learning adventures at Fletcher. Fletcher treks are an opportunity for students to deepen their learning, cultivate professional skills and foster a life-long community. Students curate and participate in treks worldwide, learning from and connecting with esteemed alumni and field experts. Recent treks include Greece, Japan and Oman.

Fletcher Educational Enrichment Fund

Wondering how you’ll afford attending an international conference, competition or trek? The Fletcher Educational Enrichment Fund (FEEF) makes small grants to allow students to participate in a variety of experiential activities that extend and enrich their course of study. 

Proposals for research, conference presentation and participation, academic and entrepreneurial competitions, and other activities related to academic and professional goals may be awarded funding to assist with travel and related expenses. All Fletcher degree candidates are eligible to submit proposals. 

Recent grants have included helping students travel to top destinations such as Oman, Iceland, Turkey, Barbados and Azerbaijan, engaging with the world’s most urgent issues through the lens of climate and energy, human rights and governance, economic development and equity, and diplomacy and cultural immersion.
