Alumni Resources and Tips
- Fletcher CORE: Access career resources, upcoming events, schedule coaching appointments, explore job postings, and connect with alumni all in one place. Watch a video tutorial to learn how to use the platform. If you have questions or have issues logging in, please contact fletcheralum@tufts.edu.
- 1:1 Coaching Appointments: Did you know that for your first year post-Fletcher, you continue to have access to student career coaching? After that first year, you are eligible for three career coaching appointments per job search, for life! Schedule your appointment today through Fletcher CORE.
- To make the most of your appointment: Please send your most recent resume, a job description of interest, and a recent cover letter at least 24 hours in advance. This preparation helps us maximize our time together, as alumni are limited to three coaching appointments per job search.
- Office of Professional Development (OPD) Events, Collaborations, and School-Agnostic Recruitment Events: The OPD is excited to share a range of events and recruitment opportunities open to Fletcher CORE alumni. Offerings include the APSIA Reciprocity Ring Series (join Fletcher and other APSIA schools from 12-1PM on Wednesday, May 13), OPD‑led skill‑building workshops (details coming soon), and the CareerEco Government & Nonprofit Virtual Fair (11 AM–3 PM on Thursday, July 9). There’s something for everyone!
- Build candidate profiles and apply early: Create profiles at target organizations. Track postings, make yourself visible to recruiters who are sourcing behind the scenes, and have your application materials ready so you’re among the first applicants for new openings.
- Network weekly: Reach out to three-five contacts. Even a 20-minute call can make a big difference. Use Fletcher CORE’s alumni module, LinkedIn (Fletcher’s Alumni page, Tufts Alumni page, and the Tufts Career Network), and your undergraduate and former employer alumni networks.
- Sharpen your skills: Explore LinkedIn Learning (free month-long trial subscriptions are available), Udemy, or other resources to refresh skills and earn certifications.
Ginn Library
Fletcher alumni have access to the online databases and can contact a reference librarian for research assistance.
