Biography
Thomas Qitong Cao is assistant professor of technology policy at The Fletcher School at Tufts University. His research interests and teaching focus on the political implications of generative artificial intelligence, the influence of information on political attitudes and behavior, the political economy and regulation of the information technology sector, and the dynamics of political polarization.
Cao is a research affiliate of The Hitachi Center for Technology and International Affairs, a research institute that fosters the global exchange of ideas on the management of innovation and technological change.
