Biography
Maulik Jagnani is an assistant professor of economics at The Fletcher School at Tufts University. His research and teaching focus on microeconomic topics in environmental health and human capital in lower-income countries.
A faculty affiliate of the Center for International Environment and Resource Policy (CIERP), Jagnani researches sleep, education outcomes for children, as well as the effects of heat, flooding, and pollution on health, education, productivity, and adaptation. He is currently studying air purifier impacts and adoption in Bangladesh and last-mile flood alert dissemination systems in India to bridge the gap between prediction and protection.
Jagnani is a research affiliate of the International Growth Center (IGC), Yale Inclusion Economics (YIE), and Inclusion Economics India Centre (IEIC). Additionally, he is an affiliated professor at Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL).
