On Fletcher's adaptability
When I was considering Fletcher, I reached out to an alumnus who really highlighted the school's collaborative and team-oriented atmosphere among the students. Since being here, I have found this to be absolutely true. Second year students have helped me tremendously with connecting to resources and with organizations on campus. In addition to alumni and current students, I also found the faculty to be accessible. I reached out to a professor before coming to campus, who is now my academic advisor. I was impressed by Fletcher's commitment to producing practitioners that make a direct impact internationally. The school's success is reflected in how they adapt their program offerings. Nothing at Fletcher is static, which is mirrored in projects such as updating the historic Edward R. Murrow Center to include digital diplomacy or bringing on board new faculty to increase knowledge and course offerings on emerging critical issues like cyber security and gender issues. The Fletcher School is committed to producing leaders focused on society's current and future needs.
On the student community
I knew that I had made the right decision to come to Fletcher once I started to get to know my fellow students. It really is a family of scholars. Right when I got to campus I was able to find second year students interested in the same subjects as me that not only shared their amazing experiences but also connected me with professors, student clubs, even grant and fellowships opportunities to ensure I get the most out of my experience here. It is a highly collaborative environment where students leverage each other's skills and experiences for the betterment of the whole community. We often work in study groups and on team projects. The school has so many resources, but I think your fellow students will be one of the most helpful for you.
