August 26, 2021

Dear members of the Fletcher community,

We look forward to seeing our current students, faculty, and staff back on campus and together with them, welcome our new students to Fletcher.

Fletcher and Tufts administrators have worked tirelessly to create a remarkably safe campus.

The overwhelming majority of our community is vaccinated, and vaccination, masking, and testing policies are in place to ensure that our community members will be able to study, conduct research, teach and work in a safe and healthy environment.

Our commitment to the health and safety of the Fletcher community remains paramount, and we will continue to follow official public health guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, our host communities, and Tufts University.

This may mean making changes in real time through the academic year, and we will ask for flexibility, patience and understanding from the members of our community as they may be asked to adjust as circumstances require.

Here are some key pieces of information to keep in mind:

Proof of Vaccination will be required to access our campus buildings. This will be true for both members of our community and for visitors and guests.

If you are a visitor or a guest planning to visit our campus, please reach out to the staff member or administrator who is hosting you for more details on the arrival process.

Testing will be required of all community members as described here:

Masks are required to be worn indoors at all times.

Eating and drinking is strongly encouraged to be done outside whenever possible.

When eating and drinking is done indoors, you are asked to physically distance whenever possible and replace your mask over your mouth and nose as quickly as possible.

If you have questions about the university’s COVID policies, please visit this myFletcher page

We will regularly update FAQs (above) as pandemic-related policies develop, including additional information on vaccinations as it becomes available.
