A Last Thank You to ‘the Last Dance’

Dan Drezner reflects on why ESPN's "The Last Dance" was "Must See TV," via his Washington Post column.

Dear God, I miss professional sports. It’s the banal thing to say during the coronavirus pandemic, but that doesn’t mean it is untrue. Baseball games should be played. The Red Sox were not going to be good, but even fans of bad teams have reasons to hope in April and May.

More importantly, National Basketball Association playoffs should be going on right now. We do not have that, but as a substitute, ESPN’s “The Last Dance,” a documentary about Michael Jordan’s last NBA championship run with the Chicago Bulls, has been better than expected.
