Virtual Screening of the Documentary: Waylaid in Tijuana
Thursday, August 13, 2020, 6 – 8pm
Waylaid in Tijuana is a documentary about how immigration policies adopted in Washington, DC reverberate just south of the border in Tijuana, Mexico. It features migrants and asylum seekers from Haiti and Central America, migration experts, government officials, and migrant advocates from the Tijuana/San Diego region who grapple with the consequences of these policies on a daily basis.
Following the screening, please join us for a webinar with Fletcher Professor Katrina Burgess, Writer and Producer; Tim Ouillette, Director; Aída Silva, Writer and Co-producer; Lee Gelernt, Deputy Director, Immigrants' Rights Project, ACLU; and Daniella Burgi-Palomino, Co-Director, Latin American Working Group (LAWG).
