Massachusetts Senator Edward Markey (D-MA) led a roundtable discussion with Dean Rachel Kyte, Academic Dean Kelly Sims Gallagher, and Dr. Yifei Li of NYU-Shanghai on how the US can work with China on the climate challenge. Senator Markey is the Chair of the U.S. Senate subcommittee on Clean Air, Climate, and Nuclear Safety; he is also the Chair of the U.S. Senate Asia subcommittee.
Fletcher professors Amy Myer Jaffe and Barbara Kates-Garnick participated in a Women in Energy panel of experts to discuss the policies, finance, and leadership skills that will be needed to drive the energy transition in the United States, and how the leadership of women will shape the transition.
