Fletcher's interdisciplinary curriculum and vibrant student body is best appreciated through personal experience. For those who are able to travel to the Boston area, we encourage you to take advantage of our on-campus visit programming.

  • The Fletcher School is pleased to offer Visit Days for prospective applicants. These visits feature expanded programming, including an information session and tour, student panel discussion, and the opportunity to speak informally with current students during a lunch. Please register in advance.

  • An admissions interview is a valuable way for you to share information about yourself and to learn how The Fletcher School will meet your academic and professional goals. The evaluative interview is a recommended, but not a required, part of the admissions process. PhD applicants, in particular, are encouraged to schedule an on-campus interview.

    We offer both On-Campus and Virtual Interviews. Interviews are evaluative, not informational, and a report of the interview will become part of the interviewee's application record.

    On-Campus Interviews

    On-campus interviews are available on a first-come, first-served basis. To schedule an on-campus interview, you must upload a copy of your résumé (c.v.) during the registration process. From September through December, on-Campus Interviews can be scheduled online up to 24 hours in advance. If you wish to schedule an appointment with less than 24 hours notice, please call the Admissions Office during business hours. During the summer months, limited interview slots are available by appointment; please contact fletcheradmissions@tufts.edu to schedule a time.

  • Small group information sessions provide the opportunity to learn about Fletcher directly from students and admissions staff. Included topics range from the Fletcher curriculum to student life and the admissions process.

    On-campus information sessions are offered throughout the year. From September through December, they are offered on most Mondays at 12:30 PM and some Fridays at 9:30 AM and occasional evenings. From January through August, sessions are offered less frequently, generally once each month, with additional virtual information session available as well. 

  • You are welcome to attend a class during your campus visit. The course schedule is available on the Fletcher Course Offerings website. You can sort the course list by course title, professor, time/day, and by division. If you would like to visit a class, please check in first at the Admissions Office. Please plan to arrive a few minutes before the class begins and be sure to introduce yourself to the professor. As a courtesy to the professor and students, we ask you to remain in the class until its conclusion. Please note that the majority of classes are held Monday through Thursday.

  • We invite you to learn more about Fletcher in an informal and relaxed setting, over coffee with a current student during the academic year. This is a good opportunity to hear more about extracurriculars, classes, and the Fletcher student experience. Round out your visit with an information session and class visit for a full Fletcher experience. We offer coffee chats from September through April.

  • Each of these hotels offers a discounted rate if you are visiting Tufts. Ask for the "Tufts rate" when booking to get the discount.
