DHP D234: Humanitarian Leadership: The Political and Policy Challenges of Being in Charge

Course Description

NUTR 329/D234 is designed to provide students with a broad understanding of leadership actions in extreme contexts and how politics and policy affect the choices leaders make in humanitarian assistance programs.  The course also will cover leadership concepts to enable students to extract lessons to begin to develop a personal leadership style, and political frameworks that enable the student to better analyze such influences on humanitarian actions.
