Fletcher Alumni of Color Association (FACA)

The FACA works to foster a strong and enduring community among Fletcher alumni of color and to further the interests, welfare, and educational purposes of The Fletcher School. It also serves as a forum to share ideas with current and prospective students and address issues of diversity.

Membership is open to all Fletcher alumni

who identify themselves as being a person of color, regardless of nationality and nation of residence.

The goals of the Program falls under three main areas:

  • Serve as a forum to allow alumni to connect with each other for professional and informational exchange, as well as to discuss issues facing alumni of color in their professional areas;
  • Provide a structure for alumni of color to serve as mentors to students of color in international affairs, support the Office of Admissions to engage alumni in the recruitment of students of color and to offer scholarships for Fletcher students of color;
  • Work with the Development and Alumni Office, Office of Career Services, and existing Alumni Clubs to keep alumni of color informed about Fletcher activities, and to collaborate with student organizations such as the Ralph Bunche Society.

FACA has organized career panels for Fletcher students and is also currently working to create two scholarships for second-year Fletcher students of color, one U.S.-national, the other a non-U.S. national.
