Natasa Jokic, MALD 09, Bosnia Herzegovina

“As an economics major with work experience in a bank, I wanted to pursue studies that would enable me to relate my economics background with financial knowledge, but from an international perspective. When I first read about Fletcher’s curriculum, I was so excited to find a program that offered just what I wanted—the flexibility to combine the subjects I am interested in from both economics and finance. It gives me the whole picture, from how monetary policy influences financial markets globally to how individual companies compete in the market and manage their everyday operations.”

“The classroom experience at Fletcher is truly amazing. I previously studied in a system where students were rarely encouraged to engage in discussions or to question professors. At Fletcher, open discussion and participation is highly valued, and students are constantly challenged to think critically about problems. The professors are dedicated to students’ success in classes, and the friendly approach they take with students is really motivating. While the workload is sometimes very demanding, I find myself greatly enjoying the classes and feeling fulfilled by the challenging problems we are assigned.”
