“I chose Fletcher for a number of reasons: the flexible curriculum, the student body, the sense of community, access to world-class professors, but most importantly, I chose Fletcher because of something intangible. Prior to applying to the school, I asked a number of successful professionals about their graduate programs and most offered positive commentary about their school. However, it was only the Fletcher alumni who sighed, smiled, and answered my questions with nostalgic stories of their time at Fletcher. I knew I wanted to have that experience in a graduate program.”

“After working abroad in the development world, I had two objectives I hoped to gain from a graduate school experience. The first was to increase my skills and knowledge of development practice to help me advance in my career. The second was to think about development from an academic standpoint and use that knowledge to question current practice. Fletcher’s flexible curriculum provided the ideal education: the ability to learn practice and theory from the top practitioners and professors in the field.”
