The Fletcher School

A Graduate School of International Affairs

Student Profiles

Margherita Zuin, MALD 08, Italy

"The MALD Program is flexible and allows student to shape the curriculum according to their interests. For example, I designed my own field of study in Forced Migration with a focus on gender. Furthermore, the interdisciplinary nature of the Program gives the students the opportunity to choose among a great variety of courses, from history to human security, from economics to conflict resolution...."

"After having completed my JD in a big public university in Italy where interaction in class is not encouraged, coming to Fletcher has been a 'positive shock'. Attending classes at Fletcher means not only learning from professors, but also having the opportunity to give a personal contribution to a discussion, share ideas, work in groups, and gain from other students' opinions and experiences.”
