The Fletcher School

A Graduate School of International Affairs

Student Profiles

Boris Polomodov, MALD 08, Israel & Russia

“At the time I was admitted to Fletcher I worked in New York, so unlike most international students I had the opportunity to visit the school before enrolling. Attending the open house exposed me to my future classmates, who appeared to be a very diverse group unified by common passion for international affairs and unwavering pursuit for new cross-cultural experiences. This diversity of backgrounds at Fletcher influenced my final decision to enroll; it continues to surprise me daily. It seems like no matter how bizarre one’s inquiry is - be it on Madagascar travel tips or Ethiopian law - there will be an expert on the issue at Fletcher.”

"The availability of the faculty members is another amazing thing about Fletcher. Professors here are ready to engage students outside the classroom and discuss matters not immediately related to the coursework. Lunches of small groups of students with the faculty members are common; lunch conversations are always vivid and usually just as informative as classroom sessions.”
