Photographer Bio Three Years, Ten Months, Two Weeks and Four Days in China These photos are a product of nearly four years living, working and traveling in China. In selecting those displayed here, I sought to draw out something of the majesty of China. But that majesty, for me, goes beyond the traditional sense of the word, such as that in “Grandeur.” It encompasses dignity and beauty, as in “Porcelain,” pride, as in “The Father Sun,” compassion, as in “Alms” and devotion, as in “The Road to Lhasa.” It also recognizes the kindness of those like “Madame Li and the Prince,” in whose home not only I, but my friends and family, were welcomed again and again and again. While they had so little to offer, they spared nothing. Like most of those I met in China, Madame Li and her family showed me only kindness. And, while I took from them nothing more than these images here, they gave to me impressions so significant, that I can no longer recall my prior perspectives.
