Jake in Arizona
Lake Powell, Arizona, USA -- 1997
Hélène Lawler

In 1997, I spent two months traveling through the South West of the United States. Being summer, it was incredibly hot and dry. Jake served as a beacon for finding water holes, suddenly sitting up and barking out the window of the car when a stream or lake was nearby. Here, Jake led me to an outstanding swimming hole, a water-sculpted desert canyon: Lake Powell.
