April Rinne My interest in photography goes back for years, and it has provided me with a unique way to combine my love for travel and aesthetics and to share my experiences with others. I still (and will always) consider myself an amateur photographer, although I have exhibited my work internationally since 1998. To date my favorite subjects include architectural details, market produce, artisan crafts, and—above all—‘cultural nuances;’ however, I would also like to dabble in portraiture and action shots in the future. My long-term commitment to this hobby is well-established; now I just need to find the time! The Basics: Originally from Colorado. After university, I spent four years overseas, without a permanent address—following a Fulbright fellowship to Italy, I spent six months a year working in Italy and France, and the other six months traveling and photographing the world. Currently I’m pursuing a joint JD/MALD candidate with Harvard Law School, focusing on international finance, business relations, and the European Union. Other Interests: Running (including marathons), swimming, hiking, and outdoor activities of all kinds. Wine, espresso and foreign film enthusiast. Avid collector of artisan ceramics.
