PRAXIS, the Fletcher School’s journal of
international development, is only a click away. PRAXIS unveiled a
new website this month, expanding its worldwide audience of
development professionals, educators, and students. The new
website is “sharp, professional, and functional” says Nadia
Izakson, marketing director for PRAXIS and second-year student.
It provides viewers useful information about the journal and free
access to current and archived articles.
The launch of a new website marks a turning
point in the evolution of PRAXIS. Previously limited to small
print-runs and a tiny geographic area, PRAXIS now reaches every
corner of the world. With an online presence, PRAXIS will
contribute more directly to the global exchange of ideas among
individuals who have a stake in international development.
Designing and building a new website involved
strong teamwork between the school and students. Without the
creative input and design skills of The Fletcher School’s web
team, the masterful multi-tasking skills of Anna Thompson, a
first-year student and production and web coordinator for PRAXIS,
and Ms. Izakson’s vision, the website would not have become
reality.
PRAXIS will release its newest issue
“Development in Transition” in May 2003. The upcoming issue
features articles on forced migration and development, gender
issues in Asia, and the opinions of international development
leaders. For more information about PRAXIS and to subscribe,
