After retiring from the Navy, Admiral Evans assumed the top staff
position at Girl Scouts of the USA. Under her leadership, the Girl
Scouts' Manhattan-based headquarters and more than 300 local
councils nationwide have created or expanded cutting-edge programs
to enhance girls' experiences in the fields of science,
technology, sports, money management and community service.
From her years with the Navy and the Girl Scouts, Evans is no
stranger to issues familiar to the Red Cross. For example, she
recognizes the need to recruit volunteers and employees from
diverse backgrounds.
Admiral Evans has a BA in Law and Diplomacy from Occidental
College and a MA in International Studies from The Fletcher
School.
