Fletcher Admissions Reps Meet Future Students. by Jessica Daniels Keeping up a whirlwind pace, representatives of The Fletcher School’s Office of Admissions this fall will visit and meet prospective students at more than sixty different colleges and universities throughout the U.S. and Europe. Through information sessions and career fairs, the reps give future students a first-hand report on Fletcher’s flexible curriculum and close-knit community.
Associate Director of Admissions, Jodi Kusik, said she enjoys meeting students and having a chance to talk about the Fletcher community. “We believe so strongly that our community is a crucial part of the Fletcher experience, and that feeling is easier to share face-to-face than in printed materials.” Hurley says she is often asked about Fletcher’s curriculum. “Students want to know if it is really as flexible as we say it is in the catalog. They are always so intrigued that we have no core curriculum and yet our graduates have attained a broad perspective on international relations.” Five Fletcher representatives will visit more than fifty different colleges and universities in the U.S. In addition, representatives will meet students during visits to London, Geneva, Brussels, Paris, and Berlin. Although many of the visits involve only representatives from The Fletcher School, there are also many joint presentations with other members of the Association of Professional Schools of International Affairs (APSIA). Fletcher’s Office of Admissions posts its travel schedule, including information on receptions in San Francisco, Atlanta and Miami, on its web site.
