- National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States (9-11 Commission)
An independent, bipartisan commission chartered to prepare a full and complete account of the circumstances surrounding the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, including preparedness for and the immediate response to the attacks. The Commission was also mandated to provide recommendations designed to guard against future attacks.

The Government Accountability Office (GAO) is an agency that studies how the federal government spends taxpayer dollars. GAO evaluates federal programs, audits federal expenditures, and issues legal opinions. When GAO reports its findings to Congress, it recommends actions. The site provides a comprehensive list of the agency’s reports concerning the Government’s counterterrorism efforts.

- UNODC - Counterterrorism
United Nations Office on Drug and Crime offers a special program to confront the global threats and challenges that terrorism poses. In the context of the UN’s general efforts to prevent and combat terrorism, the UNODC has an expanded program of work for technical assistance to counter terrorism that is based on mandates recommended by the UN Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice and approved by the General Assembly.
