Initiatives

Through a number of synergistic initiatives the Jebsen Center seeks to increase the understanding and competency of counter-terrorism professionals in order to help them to meet the evolving terrorist threat to people around the world. These efforts are broadly organized into education, outreach and policy guidance efforts.

Education

Through its affiliation with The Fletcher School, The Jebsen Center seeks to increase the understanding and competency in counter-terrorism professionals through innovative and collaborative programs. These programs will include:

Guest Speaker Series - The Jebsen Center actively seeks recognized experts and out of the box thinkers who can provide new insights into counter-terrorism strategy, techniques, tactics and procedures to share their knowledge with Fletcher students, faculty and the larger educational community within the greater Boston area.

Conference Series - The Jebsen Center seeks to offer annual conferences on relevant and forward-thinking topics that bring counter-terrorism professionals from government, industry and academia together. Jebsen Center conferences will seek to encourage mutual exchange and intellectual debate amongst the different perspectives and core competencies of these different fields in order to expand the larger debate and thinking around counter-terrorism prediction, prevention and preemption.

Outreach

The Jebsen Center provides financial support to enable Fletcher students and faculty to represent Fletcher and the Jebsen Center at counter-terrorism conferences, workshops and seminars. For more information please contact jeannine.lenehan@tufts.edu.

Policy Guidance

The Jebsen Center seeks to leverage all of its activities in order to provide counter-terrorism guidance and support to international, federal, state and local security organizations.
