- » Jebsen Center Researcher Awarded a Fulbright Scholarship Tufts University 2008 graduate and Jebsen Center researcher Peter Colombo was recently awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to study civil-military relations and democratic consolidation in El Salvador. A section of his research will touch on internal security, the transition of power from the military to the new civil police and the resulting effect on the battle with gangs and narco-traficking.
- » Jebsen Center Researcher Working with DHS for the Summer of 2008 Jebsen Center Researcher Erik Iverson will be spending his summer in Washington, DC working for the Department of Homeland Security. In addition Erik recently co-authored and published an op-ed piece with BG (Ret) Russell Howard, Disconnecting the Battle of Ideas from the Battle of Arms: Leadership, Strategy, and Ideology in the New al Qaeda, Harvard International Review, May 11, 2008. In addition, Erik is currently contributing to a comparative study of radicalization processes in the United States and Europe as a Research Analyst at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism (START).
- » Jebsen Center Researcher to work at Wesleyan University Jebsen Center Researcher Erica Chenoweth has been selected as an Assistant Professor of Government at Wesleyan University. She will begin July 1, 2008.
- » Jebsen Center Researcher Travels to South Africa Jebsen Center Researcher Eric Wagner traveled to South Africa in June after having studied the battlefields of Isandhlwana and Rorke's Drift in kwaZulu-Natal. In 2000 The Anglo-Zulu War Historical Society published his article entitled A Lion Disheveled: The Response of the British Press to the Battle of Isandhlwana. It is an acummulation of three years of research into the Zulu War of 1879 and a lifelong interest.here

On August 23, 2007 Jebsen Center Associate Director, Paula Broadwell gave birth to her newest addition to the Broadwell clan. Congratulations to the Broadwells on their beautiful baby boy!!
- » Jebsen Center Director and Researcher Publish New Textbook The Jebsen Center for Counter-Terrorism Studies is pleased to announce the publication of "Weapons of Mass Destruction and Terrorism," edited by BG (Ret) Russell D. Howard and Dr. James J. F. Forest of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. The textbook was released by McGraw-Hill Publishers on March 12, 2007.
