    Brookings Institution Center for Northeast Asian Policy Studies

    Central Asian Studies World Wide Sponsored by the Harvard Forum for Central Asian Studies. Lists thematic sites with extensive links to Central Asian studies resources.

    China Dimensions A variety of socioeconomic data including Geographic Information System databases that cover the administrative regions of China.

    Digital Asia Library Annotated links to electronic resources, searchable by keyword and browsable by subject. It is a cooperative venture of The Ohio State University Libraries, the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities Libraries, and the University of Wisconsin-Madison Libraries.

    Digital South Asia Library Links to digital reference resources, images, maps, statistics, bibliographies, indexes, books and journals.

    Brookings Institution Saban Center for Middle East Policy

    Center for Middle Eastern Studies, University of Texas at Austin. An encyclopedic database which is divided into three parts: country links, Subject categories and miscellaneous additional useful links. The subject categories include, history, culture, religion, economics, finance, business, energy, news and regional information. there is a search engine.

    Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA)

    Middle East Studies Internet Resources From Columbia University. A large database arranged by region, country and subject. "The scope of the collection is research -oriented, but it also provides access to other gopher and web sites with different or broader missions."

    Middle East Virtual Library Includes a searchable database of on-line resources for research on the Middle East.
