Tufts Climate Initiative
Anja Kollmuss and Benjamin Bowell of the Tufts Climate Initiative have just completed a study that examines the growing market for voluntary carbon offsets. Their report “Voluntary Offsets for Air-Travel Carbon Emissions: Evaluations and Recommendations of Voluntary Offsets Companies” takes a look at 13 companies and organizations selling offsets to individuals. Professors Moomaw & Najam comment on their involvement in the United Nation’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and the fourth assessment report that IPCC recently produced.
