Student Clubs

The International Consulting Club aims to foster academic and professional thinking about the challenges consulting firms face when entering emerging markets. In workshops and round tables, club members interact with professional to discuss specific topics in the industry, such as international project management. Its recruitment activity includes bringing in top-notch consulting firms to interview on campus, sponsoring a resume book that is sent to more than 100 firms, and arranging interviews via Viewnet and Picturetel.

The Global Finance and Investment Club's mission is to provide the Fletcher community with a forum to discuss developments in the world of global finance and to further students' ability to establish contacts with professionals in the field. The Club sponsors an annual simulated competition for the best emerging markets portfolio manager. A Bloomberg terminal located in the library's International Business Reference Center provides real time stock price information.

Net Impact Fletcher is committed to the use of business for social good. A member of the international Net Impact network, our chapter is as unique as the Fletcher community as a whole – the team is comprised of individuals with a broad cross section of experiences and objectives, from the incorporation of socially responsible practices into for-profits activities to the utilization of private sector tools for community development. It is in such a context that students with backgrounds as diverse as finance, law, and conflict resolution come together to investigate and develop the role of the private sector in a multi-dimensional strategy to promote economic, social and environmental development.

The Global Business Club's mission is to provide a professional network for students interested in careers in multinational corporations and to expose students to various industries of global scope. The club targets market leaders in specific industries to recruit on campus as well as informing students about local recruiting activities. The club also hosts guest speakers to discuss specific industries.

The International Telecommunications Club supports the interests of Fletcher students in the area of telecommunications, the Internet and e-commerce. The club hosts guest speakers to talk about current issues in communications and identifies telecommunications resources in the Boston area in order to help students with their internship and job searches. The club seeks to support and broaden the inter-national communications curriculum by working closely with other student groups and members of the faculty.
