MS in Civil and Environmental Engineering, MS in Technology and Policy, and PhD in International Environmental Policy, Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Professional Activities:

Prior to Fletcher taught at Boston University (1997-2003, Assistant Professor of International Relations); Also taught at MIT, UMass-Boston and School for International Training; Winner of The Fletcher School Paddock Teaching Award (2004), the MIT Goodwin Medal for Effective Teaching (1997), the International Political Science Association's Stien Rokan Award (1997) and the Pakistan Television Outstanding Achievement Medal (1990); Director, Board of Governors, Pakistan Institute for Environment-Development Action Research (PIEDAR); International Advisory Board, Center for Global Studies, University of Victoria; International Advisory Board, Pakistan Center for Trade and Sustainable Development (PCTSD); Editorial Board member: Ecological Economics, Nonprofit and Voluntary Sector Quarterly, Yearbook of International Co-operation on Environment and Development and Annual Editions: Environment; Chapter Author for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Third (2001) and Fourth (2004-07) Assessment Reports.
