Faculty Research Profile - "Building on recent work he has done on the power of “interpretive communities” to set the parameters of legal discourse, even in political bodies like the Security Council of the United Nations, he [Johnstone] is now trying to connect that idea to the literature on deliberative democracy, whose core principle is the notion that decisions must be backed by good arguments."
