The WTR is an independent professional journal established in 2001 at the initiative of the Secretariat of the of the World Trade Organization in co-operation with Cambridge University Press (first issue appeared in March 2002). Member of the WTR's Editorial Board as from January 2005.

Director of Economic Research and Analysis, World Trade Organization (formerly the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade), February 1985 through April 1997. Joined the GATT Secretariat in 1974.
