W. Buford Lewis is Manager, Fuels Development & Manufacturing
Facilities Planning for ExxonMobil. Since the merger of Exxon
and Mobil in late 1999, he has been responsible for coordinating
business support for advanced fuels and vehicles in ExxonMobil
Refining & Supply Company. Most recently, Mr. Lewis was a
Planning Executive with responsibilities for business
development and asset management, Exxon Company, International.
Prior to that, he was Supply and Planning Manager for Basic
Chemicals in Exxon Chemical Europe and Planning Manager of
Exxon’s German affiliate in Hamburg. Mr. Lewis also spent 8
years engaged in a number of strategic planning, business
analysis, and long-range energy outlook activities in Exxon
Corporation and Exxon Company, International. Throughout his
early career at Exxon Corporation Petroleum Products Department,
he held a number of technical and management positions in
refinery process development and engineering. Mr. Lewis holds
a Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Chemical Engineering from
Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
