Michael Pugh is Professor of Peace and Conflict Studies, Department of Peace Studies, University of Bradford, UK. He is the editor of the quarterly journal International Peacekeeping (Routledge, London). He has published articles on the political economy of transformation in South-east Europe, and on peacekeeping and peacebuilding. He edited Regeneration of War-torn Societies, (Macmillan, 2000) and The UN and Regional Security (Lynne Rienner, 2004) with W.P.S. Sidhu. He is the author, with Neill Cooper, of War Economies in a Regional Context: Challenges of Transformation (Lynne Rienner, 2004). He leads a research programme on the transformation of war economies and is publishing an edited book: Critical Perspectives on War Economies.
