Lorenzo Delesgues is a political scientist who has worked and lived extensively in Iran, Pakistan, Central Asia and Afghanistan for the last 10 years. He has been working in Pakistan and Afghanistan since 2001 and researched on subjects such as: political transition, international relations, political sociology, afghan political economy and civil society. In Afghanistan, he worked as a researcher for Afghanistan Research Evalustion Unit (AREU) and the Foundation for Cultural and Civil Society (FCCS) and he is currently the Director of Integrity Watch Afghanistan. He founded IWA whose mission is to increase transparency, integrity and accountability in Afghanistan through the provision of policy-oriented research, development of training and monitoring tools and facilitation of policy dialogue. He has been working on corruption issue since July 2005 and has since published extensively for Tiri, ODI, OSI. Lorenzo has a master degree in Political Sciences from l’Institut d’Etudes Politiques of Paris.
