The Fletcher School

A Graduate School of International Affairs

About Us

As the United States’ first professional graduate school of international relations, The Fletcher School has emphasized innovation and excellence in the study of international relations. Since 1933, Fletcher’s multi-discipline education has prepared individuals who have gone on to be heads of state, ministries, central banks and national courts, as well as legislative, business, economics, law, diplomacy, NGO, and international organization leaders.

The Fletcher School has identified emerging market enterprises and the issues and changes they embody as vitally important to 21st century development. In 2007, Fletcher established the Center for Emerging Market Enterprises (CEME) to:

  • be a leading global hub for research, study and networking devoted to enterprises in the emerging markets; and,
  • promote understanding and engagement that contributes to global prosperity and stability.

The Center for Emerging Market Enterprises Delivers…

  • Intellectual Capital – a unique, unrelenting focus on key issues, trends and change drivers in emerging markets
  • Network Power – connecting scholars and practitioners across sectors, regions and disciplines
  • Convening Power – frequent and ongoing conferences, dialogues and gatherings provide a nexus of discussion, stimulating thoughtful approaches from leaders and experts
