Studies complex, multi-disciplinary issues related to investing in and operating resource-based businesses in the emerging markets.

Activities in the Energy and Commodities Markets program include:

  • Scaling Alternative Energy: The Role of Emerging Markets: initiative co-sponsored by the Fletcher Center for International Environment and Resource Policy; explores the roles and policies of enterprises, investors, NGOs, regulators, and multilateral organizations
  • Resource Nationalism and Food & Water Sovereignty: research programs to help the private sector manage food/energy tradeoffs, and other operating factors affecting investment security and sustainability
