As a financial advisor to clients with high net worth, Alice Finn is expected to stay abreast of financial trends, regardless of geography. “Any investment that seems interesting, we look at,” says Finn. “Emerging markets are the hot topic, so we're assessing whether the risk/reward makes sense. In evaluating risk/reward in emerging markets as opposed to developed markets, you're thinking about the governmental situation, the political risks, and all those things you learn from Fletcher about the culture.”
Finn is not only a Fletcher graduate, but also an employer of Fletcher graduates. “Fletcher students have the hard quantitative skills combined with the cultural and international perspective. It gives someone assessing a private sector endeavor a more well-rounded view. It’s a perspective that most people who come to interview with us do not have.”
