Why I chose Fletcher: “I chose Fletcher and the brand-new MIB program for its uniqueness and fresh outlook. I was looking for a degree that could combine my desire to gain marketable knowledge and skills on global business issues and my passion for international affairs and politics. Upon learning of this program, my mind and heart were set. The Fletcher brand offered the guarantees of a professional environment with a recognized global presence and the MIB curriculum fit with the idea I had in mind for such a degree. In addition, the adventure and thrill of being part of the inaugural class of such a program drew me to the school as I was in fact searching for something different, something that could challenge me with new perspectives but that would also build on my previous experience and interests.”
On the Fletcher community: “I came to Fletcher from another international background, the European hub of Brussels, but was still surprised to witness the diversity of backgrounds 270 first-year students can display, let alone that of the even smaller group of 35 MIB students! My classmates have experience ranging from microfinance to serving in the Peace Corps or the army and from management consulting to starting their own businesses. We share similar passions, interests, and a sense of adventure combined with a clear vision for our future, while at the same time being very different individuals. Overall, I could find excellent application of a motto from my pre-Fletcher life here: united in diversity.”
