The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy began as a professional training ground for diplomats in 1933 during the Great Depression, an act of hope in a time of despair and a boost to internationalism in a time of isolationism.
Today, The Fletcher School has evolved into a multidisciplinary institution that cultivates men and women for leadership roles in the public, private, and non-profit sectors-in every corner of the world.
As leaders in their communities and professions, Fletcher alumni exemplify the
School's mission to educate men and women who see the world from every conceivable angle, take a holistic view of our increasingly complex and challenging global society. That mission can only be fulfilled with the help of alumni and friends. Their generosity is essential if we are to attract talented students, hire and retain an extraordinary faculty, and remain the finest graduate school of international affairs in the nation.
Indeed, The Fletcher School's strength in fund-raising lies in its ongoing partnership with alumni and friends, and in the dedicated work of volunteers annually.
