Submit a Paper

al Nakhlah is produced by Fletcher students and published online twice per year. This online journal serves as a source for information and increased understanding on issues related to Southwest Asia and Islamic Civilization. We welcome contributions from members of the Fletcher community (including current students, alumni, and faculty) relating to the history, politics, economics, and culture of the Middle East, Central Asia, and the Caucasus.

Articles submitted for review should be between 2,500 and 3,500 words in length. Submissions must be original work and must be meticulously referenced according to the Chicago Manual of Style. Articles will be selected based on their unique insight to issues of importance for the Southwest Asian region.

For each issue, al Nakhlah's Advisory Board will award scholarships for $500 and $250 to current Fletcher School students who produce outstanding articles. Eligible contributions will be judged on the basis of clarity, coherence, persuasiveness, relevance of topic, and originality.

All contributions must be submitted electronically via email.
