For the most part, The Fletcher School website follows punctuation, capitalization and usage guidelines outlined in the Associated Press Stylebook Online, which is available to the entire Fletcher community through the Ginn Library (password required).

LEGISLATIVE STYLE – On first reference, use Rep. and Sen. before the full name for representative and senator respectively. Spell out and lowercase representative and senator in other uses. If it is a direct quotation, spell out and capitalize the titles senator, representative, governor before the name: Sen. John Kerry; the senator addressed the crowd.
LGBT – Use LGBT Center or LGBT center in headline or lead. Also okay for second reference to Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender Center.

LOG ON (v.), logon (n. and adj.) – Log on to our site, use your logon information, the logon command.
