What is Triplomacy?
Triplomacy is diplomacy for the 21st century. It is an approach that leverages the perspectives and knowledge of no fewer than three industries and three sectors. By thinking ‘triplomatically,’ participants will learn how to collaborate across sectors (public, private, and non-profit) and approach complicated issues from a more rounded perspective taking into consideration the critical intersections of energy, environment, and security.
Read Fletcher’s Senior Associate Dean on why Triplomacy is the new Diplomacy.
What are the outcomes of the program?
Participants in the Fletcher Triplomacy executive seminar will:
Gain a deeper understanding of the complex intersections between the energy, environment, and security fields, which will inform their future decisions and position them to lead in a changing energy landscape.
Expand their networks. The highly collaborative nature of the curriculum and the diverse cross-sector mix of participants makes the Fletcher Triplomacy seminar a unique networking opportunity. Participants will expand upon existing networks and make new cross-sector connections.
Lead in complex decision-making processes. The Multiple Planning Scenario Exercise will train participants to make collaborative, informed decisions in high-impact and uncertain scenarios.
Remain connected. Networking opportunities and discussions surrounding the changing energy landscape will continue after the program in Fletcher Triplomacy’s alumni group on LinkedIn.
Earn a certificate. All participants will receive a certificate from The Fletcher School at Tufts University upon completion of the three day executive seminar.
Are accommodations provided?
Accommodations are not included in the registration fee, but participants may reserve a room at the Loews Madison Hotel. Participants may also choose to commute to the program or reserve a room at a nearby hotel.
Are you offering any financial assistance or special rates?
The Fletcher School is unable to offer financial assistance to attend the seminar but we do have a set of different rates for Fletcher alumni, NGO/government employees and for those attending with a group. To inquire about these rates, please email the Program Coordinators at GEDE-Fletcher@tufts.edu. Many participants have also been able to secure funding from their organization/company, and we encourage all interested participants to explore this option.
