Charles Ebinger is a Senior Fellow and the Director of the Energy Security Initiative at the Brookings Institution. Ebinger specializes in international and domestic energy markets and the geopolitics of energy, particularly in the Middle East, South Asia and Africa. Ebinger is also an adjunct professor of electricity economics at Johns Hopkins Nitze School of Advanced International Studies. Previously, he served as a Senior Advisor at the International Resources Group where he advised over 50 governments on energy policy. Ebinger has written extensively on international energy issues and is the author of five books including Energy Security in South Asia: Cooperation or Conflict? He received his Masters and Ph.D. from The Fletcher School.
