Head of Research and Economic Affairs - Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Hanoi, Vietnam

On the Fletcher network: I gained a lot of valuable knowledge at Fletcher, but the most useful skill for me was building networking skill thanks to the weekly happy hours, hospitality of Fletcher students, and the close and wide network of Fletcher alumni. Right after resuming my work in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, I had a business trip to Ethiopia where I hadn't been and we don't have diplomatic office. I reached out to Fletcher network and received super helpful information, which prepared me well before the trip.

How I learned about Fletcher: Fletcher is very famous in the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Many generations of the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs studied here, including the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, the Vietnamese Ambassador to the US, and the Vietnamese Ambassador to the United Nations, among others. The more I heard about Fletcher, the more I dreamt of being a Fletcher alum. When the time came for me to select a graduate school, I knew Fletcher was the perfect place for me.
