Why Fletcher? Fletcher offers a unique opportunity to personalize your educational experience while learning from experts in the field. Also, having the option to cross-register in other schools provides even more flexibility. The school is a great place for professional development and networking. You meet influential global leaders and receive trainings and workshops – not to mention that your classmates will probably be leaders in the field in the near future. After considering several Masters programs, I chose the MALD degree not only because of the curriculum flexibility, the top faculty, and international reputation, but also because I was able to easily see myself spending two years of my life at Fletcher. The experiences outside the classroom are what make Fletcher exceptional. There are numerous opportunities for participating in extracurricular activities like joining a club, hiking with your peers, performing in culture nights, and learning another language. It is overwhelming – but in a good way. Additionally, having classmates from all over the world with a wide range of interests and personal experiences makes every conversation interesting and valuable. This school is the right place to become a leader with a global perspective.

The Enduring Value of a Diverse Community: Fletcher's diversity is a fundamental aspect for developing a global perspective to address current problems. Having friends from different parts of the world makes me feel more directly related to these global issues, and more eager to contribute positively to solve them. You view conflicts differently when you can put a face on them. I have learned to think of myself less as an individual and more as part of the collective.
